Day 36: I found my purpose in life!
It turned out that my purpose wasn't to be a marathon runner. Instead, I was shipped to another factory. I remained in the U.S this time. I was to be recycled into a playground. In the hammer mill I was chopped into hundreds of pieces. I had sharp knives piercing into me ripping me apart. I was then heated and molded into a rubber playground surface. Only one week later I was laid out at a local elementary school underneath a brand new playground! I couldn't have been more excited to be around children! This time I would not be ripped up or destroyed either since rubber playground surfaces are non biodegradable, therefore I will never go away. My purpose has been served!
Day 30: My purpose in Life
After becoming molded and decorated into a Nike sneaker I was shipped to America. Land of the free! It took two days to get there and I was boarded onto another ship. This time I was not moving and felt more secure. It took only a week to be put onto the shelves into a Nike store and less then two days to be purchased. My life was moving so fast that I could not believe it. I was not sure what a shoe did but so found out...the hard way. I saw the foot coming and wondering what it was doing coming at me with such a high speed. Boom! The foot stepped right on me filling my body with a heavy weight. It took me only five minutes to realize what I was made for. I was going to make my owner the best runner that there was.
We practiced for weeks together training for a twenty-six mile marathon through New York City. When it was finally time for the big race I was ready to go! I gave my owner everything I had and helped in finish it to the end! We did it! I was in such excitement that I had a purpose in life. He took me off that night when we got home and set me by the front door, boy was I tired. As I began to relax chomp! His dog tore me apart. I was all over the place! In his stomach, the living room the kitchen. My owner was devastated upon seeing me as such a wreck. He cleaned my parts up and we parted our ways. I was no in the recycling bin.

Day 6: Going through some changes
It turned out that I was emptied into a machine to be vulcanized! I stuck onto my newly bonded rubber for dear life, hoping that we wouldn't all fall in. I was so scared that I heard myself breathe inside of the machine. Suddenly, it began to get extremely hot. I began to bubble and could feel myself practically melting. After being heated for about ten minutes, which felt like two hours, I was molded into an odd shape. It seemed that I was becoming...a shoe! Yes! I was becoming the sole and the outside of a....sneaker? Yes a sneaker! My tree would be so proud of me!
Day 1: Basking in Brazil
Ah, what a lovely day out. I slowly seep down the Hevea Brasiliensis tree, "aka the rubber tree," into a small pot. I take my time as I flow down the tree and drip into the bucket, waiting to be collected. Finally, a small Brazilian native collects me and I am combined with other rubbers just like myself! We are stored together in a large dark container over night. It is nice to be combined with other tree's rubber, since we are all the same. We bonded very well together. The next morning we get moved around and boarded onto a ship. It was my first time on water and I moved back and fourth a lot, I hoped I would not get sea sick. When I arrived in a musty factory I was roughly dropped into a machine. I got a glance of my surroundings and realized that I had been shipped to India! Aman perjalanan!
